Time passes by so fast and it has now been 6 month since I left the inspiring, pure and sacred atmosphere of the ashram Parmarth Niketan. I miss it so much, the majestic Himalayan mountains surrounding the ashram and the mother Ganga flowing just outside..
Parmarth means “Dedicated to the Welfare of All”, and Niketan means “An Abode”. Parmarth Niketan, is an Abode Dedicated to the Welfare of All with no discrimination on the basis of race, nationality, religion, caste, creed, social or economic status. All are welcome!
And all truly feel welcome, in the ashram I found all kind of people, there were foreign, indian, spiritual, dedicated and also selfish people.. It was interesting to see how people could travel so far and still have the urge to complaint about the food, the schedule or the room.
I was thrilled, everyday walking around in the garden in the ashram, or walking by the Ganga, the divine mother, the goddess with its sacred Gangajal. Yoga everyday, philosophy studies, singing mantras and eating amazing sattvic food, no meat, no union, no garlic, enjoying the comfort, the upliftment for the body and the serenity of the ashram.
I miss it…
